It’s hard to believe it’s already time for the October Table Rock Lake fishing report! The water temperature on Table Rock Lake is currently 75.7 degrees and the shad are loading into the back of creeks in the James River arm. The bass will soon be following them as the water temperature continues to drop.
In the Shell Knob area long points have been the best fish-producing area with top-water action for the first couple hours of sunlight. After this time, drop shots are doing well on the points and around standing timber that still has branches in the area. The fish are in 20-25′ of water at this time.
On another subject, the Pink Fishing Reeling in the Cure tournament is set for the 21st of October. The proceeds of the tournament go to stop breast cancer and it is a great cause to get behind! The tournament will be going out of Schooner Creek Marina.
For your calendar, a tournament to Benefit the ARC of the Ozarks is scheduled for April 21,2018. ARC of the Ozarks is located in Springfield MO and does a wonderful job of assisting people with disabilities whether they be physical or mental.
At the tournament there will be door prizes and raffles as well as payouts for overall weight and Big Bass. During the tournament, there will be boats provided by State Park Marina for the purpose of taking some of the people from ARC fishing for the first time in their lives! Many of these have never been on a boat before due to their disabilities.
If you are interested in helping with this tournament or any of the activities associated with it, please give me a call. Let’s make this a great day for those in need!!!
